Follow up project on the state of UBC in Europe awarded to S2BMRC
In June 2015, the DG Education & Culture at the European Commission issued a competitive project tender (DGEAC/10/15) with the aim of undertaking a Europe-wide study on cooperation between universities and business (UBC). The project tender was won by a consortium led by the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre from the University of Applied Sciences Münster, Germany and will be executed over 22 months during 2016-2017. As part of the project, two major studies will be undertaken in order to understand UBC from the perspective of both Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) as well as business, together with the production of 50 good practice UBC case studies and European policy recommendations. The consortium trusts that we can create a leading benchmark for UBC in Europe, foster the acceptance and understanding of UBC in Europe as well as driving forward a smarter and more productive European innovation and employment market. In short, we believe there is a potential to make a shift in European thinking on this topic and provide the European Commission with very valuable information for the design of evidence-based UBC policies. We sincerely look forward to bringing all our project partners and national partners together to work on it! We are still looking for country partners in the following countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, Norway, Iceland and Macedonia, so please contact us if you are interested and we will be happy to provide you with more information. If your country is not on the list but you still want to be an associate to this project (as an individual or organisation) and collaborate with us to push UBC forward in Europe, please contact us at: meerman@uiin.org
